Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day

India celebrated Independence Day on August 15, 2021. This year marks the 75th year anniversary of our Independence.

Independence Day celebrations at school often mean a beautifully decorated campus in ribbons and balloons of the national flag’s colors, students proudly singing the anthem and looking forward to present some amazing dance and song performances. But this year, Covid-19 has shut schools indefinitely and added a twist to the Independence Day celebrations. The fervor remains and CES’s VILLOO POONAWALLA ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL ensured that the fervor of patriotism lives on, and shifted their Independence Day celebrations online. In schools the only live part of the online Independence day event was the flag hoisting ceremony.

schools have sent messages to students and parents, informing about virtual independence Day celebrations. Some are even conducting drawing, singing, essay writing and speech competitions. Participated students sent videos of speeches, images of essays and painting.

Flag-hoisting ceremonies will likely be held in school but will be attended mainly by teachers and officials like last year with social distancing norms school campus was decorated by beautiful Rangoli and painting on a board and Mrs. Sangeeta Shelar madam anchored the program. Jhende Madam and Durgud madam nicely arranged NCC and flag.

In the presence of Vice principal of school Mrs. Ghatke madam, head of the department Mrs. Shaila Patil madam, principal of CES’s villoopoonawalla English medium pre- primary school Mrs. Shaikh madam, principal of CES’s villoopoonawalla English medium primary school Mrs. Ahir Madam, principal of CES’s villoopoonawalla English medium high school Mrs. Yasmeen Patait Madam and Gavare Madam all school staff flag hoisting ceremony took place.
